A cold front will linger in the area today. That will bring the overcast, dreary and damp conditions through the day. But, despite the clouds, temperatures will be above average by nearly 10 degrees. We started the day off with temperatures in the 50s. We’ll slowly warm through the lunch hour, but this afternoon the cloud deck should lift a little and afternoon highs will be in the low 60s. If you have evening plans, a light jacket will all you’ll need.

Another cold front will swing through the area on Wednesday. That will increase our rain chances after the lunch hour on Wednesday. Behind this next front, colder and drier air settles back in. That will drop our afternoon highs back to the 30s and low 40s. But, at least it will be abundantly sunny. Another disturbance will race through Saturday night into Sunday, bringing a chance for light snow in the mountains of East Tennessee and North Carolina.
