TODAY’S FORECAST

Today we sit behind yesterday’s cold front. With some lingering clouds this morning, drier air will settle on in allowing the clouds to clear out through the afternoon. We will likely have some low level moisture lingering around which will give us a bit of a haze today.
Morning temperatures started off in the 30s and 40s. But, we’ll climb to the 40s for the lunch hour and the 50s this afternoon. A bit of a cool down from what we experienced yesterday.

THE REST OF THE STORY
FRIDAY

A clipper system will be racing out of the Great Lakes early Friday morning. That will race through East Tennessee on Friday. It will bring a round of afternon light rain and snow. I anticipate this to pick up just after the lunch hour. Obviously we’ll see more snow in the higher elevations, the Cumberland Platreau, Upper East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains.
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
Less than 1/2″
UPPER EAST TENNESSEE
Less than 1″
SMOKY MOUNTAINS
1″-3″
This Alberta Clipper will also bring with it a reinforced shot of colder air. So, Saturday and Sunday will be the coldest days of the next seven.
CHRISTMAS WEEK
We have another storm that is set to move out of Canada on Christmas Eve. This storm will likely bring rain and snow to the Upper Midwest on Tuesday and rain for us on Christmas Day.
