THE BIG STORY
Good Sunday!
The cold front we’ve been talking about all week is moving ever so close today. Ahead of it, expect mostly cloudy skies with some scattered light showers. But, the front moves through overnight tonight, briinging a line of showers and a few rumbles of thunder. Cooler, more seasonable weather arrives on Veteran’s Day with another front mid to late week. That will also bring our temps down for a day or so, to those seasonal averages.
I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.
TODAY’S FORECAST
Good morning!
Today will be mostly cloudy with scattered light, nuisance showers. I say that because it’s not enough for busting the current drought, but enough to get your wet from time to time today. I wouldn’t cancel outdoor plans, just plan accordingly and track them with the eastTNweather app.
Morning low temps start in the 50s and 60s. We won’t warm much today, but we stay above average with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. The average high is the low to mid 60s.
The cold front moves through overnight tonight. As the front moves through, it will spark off a line of showers with a few rumbles of thunder possilble. It will bring us less than 1/2″ of rainfall through sunrise on Monday.
If you have plans to attend the Veteran’s Day Parade, we will start off damp, but expect clearing skies through the day.
ENJOY THE DAY!
BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE

THE REST OF THE STORY
Finallly some more seasonal weather arrives for the next 7 days. We will be tracking another cold front next Wednesday and Thursday. That will bring us some light rain, but looks to be rather moisture starved. What it will do is bring us slightly cooler and drier air. That also means our highs will be average along with our monring lows. That also means we will have colder mornings ahead.
A LOOK AHEAD
As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! While the Climate Prediction Center has added a small probability of an increase in the rain chances over the next 6-10 and 8-14 days out. However, based on the latest model guidance, rainfall will begin to increase this week and the weekend.
We definitely need the rain!
