THE BIG STORY

A ridge of high pressure continues to to hang across the southeastern U.S. But, a trough will push a cold front through the area on Tuesday bringing the rain. Another cold front swings through on Wednesday which will tank our temperatures and bring us the coldest air of the season so far.

I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.

TODAY’S FORECAST

Today’s going to be another fantastic day. We start the day off with temperatures in the 40s, but will climb to the low to mid 60s for the lunch hour. This afternoon will be nearly 10 degrees above average with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds through the day.

ENJOY THE DAY!

THE REST OF THE STORY

The coldest air of the season is set to arrive through the day on Wednesday. And, it looks to stick around through the weekend.
Now, the trough doesn’t look to be as deep as it did the other day. So, we may not see as much snow in the mountains as everything lifts a little further north. Of course, only time will tell so we’ll be watching closely.

A LOOK AHEAD

We will warm toward the end of the 7 day forecast, but as mentioned above, colder air is heading our way next week. The Climate Prediction Center has already pinpointed that on their 8-14 day outlook. With next weeks storm, we look to see elevated precipitation, but behind it, very dry air settles in, which means a drier pattern sets up shop.
