THE BIG STORY

Happy Saturday!
Here comes the early November heat!
A ridge of high pressure dominates the weather pattern. That will continue to bring us elevated temperatures through the next seven days. However, we will start to see some rain chances ramp up mid to late week. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t appear we’ll get much moisture out of this next system.

I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.

TODAY’S FORECAST

We start the day off with some morning clouds and mild temperatures. Heading through the day, expect plenty of sunshine and warmer than average temperatures. Highs will top out in the mid 70s, which is nearly 10 degrees above average for this time of the year. If you are headed out to tailgate for the UT football game, it will be warm in the direct sunlight, but as the sun goes down, grab the sweatshirts as temps cool into the low 60s by the end of the game.

ENJOY THE DAY!

BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE

THE REST OF THE STORY

As mentione above, expect above average temperatures thanks to a ridge of high pressure. Our dew points will stay elevated, kind of humid, for this time of the year. That will translate to a warmer feel to the air through the next seven days, but also keep our morning low temperatures nearly 20 degrees above average.

A LOOK AHEAD

As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! While the Climate Prediction Center has added a small probability of an increase in the rain chances over the next 6-10 and 8-14 days out. However, based on the latest model guidance, I don’t see much in the way of rain heading our way.
We desparately need some rainfall soon!
The good news is that as we head into the winter months, our precipitation will likely increase, based on climatology.
