THE BIG STORY

Happy Friday!
Our cold front continues to slide to our southeast. That will bring us some slightlyl drier air through the day and into our Friday. Another system heads our way on Saturday night and Sunday. And we’ll do it again on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. So, expect elevated rain chances over the next 7 days.

I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.

TODAY’S FORECAST

We start the day with morning fog and some low clouds. But, as drier air settles in today, the skies will clear through the afternoon and evening. That means a lot of sunshine is on the way. While it will be a little cooler than yesterday, we continue to stay well above average for this time of the year.
Morning temps are running 20 degrees above average.
We warm to the 70s for lunch time.
With afternoon high temperatures in the low, mid and upper 70s.
If you have evening plans, it will feel great to be outside.

ENJOY THE DAY!

THE REST OF THE STORY

High pressure hangs strong on Saturday. But, another cold front swings our way on Sunday. That will bring us increasing chances for rain late Saturday and through the day on Sunday. However, it won’t add up to a whole lot for most. There may be a chance for rain on Veteran’s Day on Monday, but I’ll keep you updated through the weekend if you have plans to attend the Veteran’s Day Parade.
After that we will dry out again through Tuesday. But, another possible stronger storm system through the middle part of next week. That could bring us the best potential for rain since the end of September. Behind that front, it looks like much more seasonable weather arrives. Cooler air and drier air looks to settle on in.

A LOOK AHEAD

As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! While the Climate Prediction Center has added a small probability of an increase in the rain chances over the next 6-10 and 8-14 days out. However, based on the latest model guidance, rainfall will begin to increase this week and the weekend.
We definitely need the rain!
