THE BIG STORY
Happy Sunday! It’s going to be a fantastic day. I’ll get to that below, bu tthe point of the story is that hgih pressure will dominate the weather pattern. Have you heard the phrase, “High pressure brings happy weather?” Well.. it does and that’s going to be the case in the short term.
I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.
TODAY’S FORECAST
Once again, we start the day off with sunshine, minimal fog or frost as temps have dipped to the upper 30s to low 40s. If you have outdoor plans this morning, you’ll need a light jacket or sweatshirt. But, just like Saturday, we will warm nicely. How some 60s around noon. In the direct sunlight, that will feel amazing. If you’re in the shade, it’ll be a little cool. But, our afternoon highs will be at or slightly above average. Again, in the direct sun, it will feel quite warm, but comfortable in the shade. So, you’re likely to start shedding layers as the day moves on.
Into the evening hours we go and the weather is just fine. Actually about perfect for any evening plans you may have. Great for grilling outside, taking a walk around the neighborhood or even having a fire pit in the backyard.
I say enjoy it while you can!
BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE

THE REST OF THE STORY
As we move forward in time, this ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate through most of the week. However, there is a cold front that will move through later this workweek. Again, as October typically is, it’s a dry cold front. It will likely bring a few clouds, a bit of a breeze, but that should be about it. Oh, it will cool our highs down a few degrees, but that also doesn’t last very long. High pressure builds back in through next weekend and beyond. That means that we are likely to experience above average temperatures to round out the month and head into November!
A LOOK AHEAD
As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! We’re also likely to be trending on the drier side. Not necessarily great news as the drought will likely build back in and realize we are in fire season.
