Near record high temperatures today with falling temperatures on Sunday. But, that cool down won’t last long.

THE BIG STORY

It’s going to be another warm day with near record highs expected.
We still are tracking a cold front for Saturday. It really doesn’t bring much in the way of rain, although a few showers are possible on Saturday. It cools us down for one day, but then warmer weather moves back in.

TODAY’S FORECAST

Today will be the warmest day of the week with near record highs expected. We start the day off cool, but quickly warm up. Lunch time temps will be in the 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs will warm to the low to mid 80s.
We’ll have all day sunshine with a light breeze out of the southwest.
If you have outdoor plans this evening, it will fell fantastic, but a light jacket will be needed after sundown.

THE REST OF THE STORY

So, the cold front moving through on Saturday will bring us a chnace for light rain and mostly cloudy skies. We will stay above average on Saturday for forecast highs. But, cooler, more seasonable weather settles in on Sunday with clearing skies. It doesn’t last but a day before another ridge of high pressure builds in heading into Halloween week. Halloween will be warm with highs near 80s, dew points in the upper 50s and low 60s, therefore, trick or treating will be pleasant. Beause our dew points will be in the 40s and 50s, our morning lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

A LOOK AHEAD

As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! We’re also likely to be trending on the drier side. Not necessarily great news as the drought will likely build back in and realize we are in fire season.
