THE BIG STORY
Lingering energy will bring us the clouds and a chance for a very light stray shower today. But, behind all of this, a ridge of high pressure builds in which will boost our high temperatures to nearly 10 degrees above average for this time of the year. What a way to round out October! A cold front moves through on the first day of November, but don’t expect much from it.

TODAY’S FORECAST
Happy Sunday!
We start the day off with mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures. We don’t have a strong push of dry air today, so the clouds will linger through most of the day. If you have plans to be in the mountains to do some fall color viewing, you might want to bring the rain jacket, just in case. Lunch time temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s with afternoon hgihs in the upper 60s to low 70s, mainly south of I-40. We will drop to the mid 60s after sunset tonight.
ENJOY THE DAY!

THE REST OF THE STORY
After today, a big ridge of high pressure will build in. This will bring us the late October heat. Highs will soar to nearly 10 degrees above average. Our dew points this week will stay elevated, in the 50s and low 60s. That will make it feel warmer this week, but it will also keep our morning lows very mild. We will also stay dry through the week, but a cold front will swing through on Friday, the first day of November. Unfortunately at this time, it doesn’t appear to have much in the way of moisture, nor colder air. Let’s see how this plays out this week, so make sure to check back in.
A LOOK AHEAD
As mentioned above, we are looking at high pressure and above average temperatures as we round out October and start November! We’re also likely to be trending on the drier side. Not necessarily great news as the drought will likely build back in and realize we are in fire season.
