THE BIG STORY
Hello sunshine and warmer weather!
Well, not the warmer weather just yet, but that is heading our way as a ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather pattern through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Plus, likely to be the case as we round out the month of October.
I will post a lot more on social media. Please be sure to like and follow @MikeWitcherTV on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Along with @ETNweather on Facebook.

TODAY’S FORECAST
It sure was a chilly start to the day day! Temperatures dipped to the low to mid 30s with areas of frost. Now that the sun is up, the frost burns off and those temperatures will warm.
High pressure is the name of the game. That big blue bubble of now trouble is what I like to call it.
Why?
Because you get sinking air with high pressure, which usually means warmer sunshine.
Forecast high temperatures will climb to the low to mid 60s, which is just a little warmer than Wednesdsay.
If you have evening plans to be outside, you’ll need the jackets as temps dip back to the 40s after sunset.
BUT IT DOESN’T STOP THERE

THE REST OF THE STORY
Remember that big blue bubble of no trouble I just talked about?
Well… it will only build and strengthen even more after the weekend. That is going to leave us hight and dry. No rainfall is expected over the next seven day stretch. Which isn’t good news as the drought continues to expand, once again. Speaking of drought. The US Drought Monitor came out this morning and the only change was that the moderate drought has now expanded into Cumberland County.
Hey, if you are heading to Neyland Stadium on Saturday for the big football game agains Alabama, it’s going to be perfect. High temperatures for the day will occur around kick off, which should be in the 70s. If you have plans to be out and about Saturday evening, temperatures will fall back to the mid 50s by 9pm.

A LOOK AHEAD
We are in for a nice dry weather pattern this week. But, per the Climate Prediction Center, we are going to be on the drier side through the middle of the month. Which, of course, is par for the course for the month of October. Plus, we end the 7 day stretch on the colder than average side, but a ridge of warmer high pressure will start to nudge our way over the next two weeks.
