TODAY’S FORECAST
Today is going to be another amazing August day! We will see plenty of sunshine with a few high clouds from Tropical Storm Debby. There is a very slgiht chance for an isolated shower in the mountains of East Tennessee and North Carolina.
The smoke will continue to be with us today as the west coast wild fires continue to burn.
High temperatures will be slightly above average, in the low 90s. The humidity will be with us as well, so the heat index will be pushing near 100°. So, if your kids have events after school, the heat stress will be in the moderate to high category for the central and southern valley.

LOOKING AHEAD
As Tropical Storm Debby slowly moves up the east coast, it will bring torrential rain with major flooding along the coastal states.
For us, it really doesn’t look like we will see much in the way of rain from Tropical Storm Debby. The best chance will be in the mountains of East Tennessee and North Carolina. But of course, we’ll be watching closely.
As Debby moves up the east coast of the United States, eventually we’ll see more of a northerly flow to the atmosphere. That will bring in cooler and drier air as we wrap up the workweek and head into the weekend.
This will give us a little taste of early fall!
