TODAY’S FORECAST
Here we go again… but the reality of it, it doesn’t stop today.
I’m talking heat. The heat will be with us today, but build even more so through the rest of the week.
High temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s. Thank goodness we don’t have a ton of humidity, because the heat index really won’t be of a concern.
But, it will still be very warm into the evening hours, so practice heat safety if you have outdoor sports or activities.

LOOKING AHEAD
As I mentioned above, the heat will continue to build this week. Plus, the dew points will climb as well as the Gulf of Mexico will open her doors a bit. Which in turn, leads to a heat index near HEAT ADVISORY criteria. So, even more of a reason to practice that heat safety this week.
This all combined with tons of sunshine will lead to elevated heat stress. Something to think about for parents and coaches as the kids practice sports after school.
Now on to thos rain chances.
We will stay bone dry through Thursday. But, high pressure begins to fade as an area of low pressure moves our way. That will increase that chance for much needed rain come Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
If you have plans to head to the football game on Saturday, make sure to pack that rain gear and stay in the know as we could see some strong storms.
