TODAY’S FORECAST
Happy Saturday!
We’ll see some afternoon showers and storms, but much less coverage today than what we’ve seen in the past 7-10 days. If you get the rain, expect locally heavy rain.
It will be a more typical day today with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. However, it will still feel like the upper 90s in most locations.
Remember to track the rain with the eastTNweather Interactive Radar giving you, current, past and future radar of two hours.

LOOKING AHEAD
A ridge of high pressure will be in play just enough to start the workweek that we’ll see above average temperatures with a heat index into the low 100s.
The humidity will stay elevated, so it will be muggy.
But, it doesn’t appear we’ll see much in the way of rain through the middle part of next week.
We are watching the tropics as Tropical Storm Debby has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. This is forecast to swing into the panhandle of Florida and into the southeastern part of the United States. From there, there are a lot of unknowns. Some models have Debby stalling out in Georgia, which will bring a ton of rainfall to the southern United States. The unknowns for us would be how much of Debby’s moisture makes it into our area.
