Happy Monday & welcome back to reality!

The heat and humidity will build back again through the first part of the week. It will likely be hot enough with a heat index over 105° for a HEAT ADVISORY on Tuesday.

The dew points will continue to climb through Tuesday. Then, as the remenants of Beryl move into the Upper Midwest, a cold front will bring us some slightly drier air beginning on Thursday. While it will still be hot with highs in the 90s, we won’t have the extremem heat index values.

THE TROPICS
Beryl made landfall in South Texas early Monday morning as a category 1 hurricane. That storm will weaken as it moves toward the Upper Midwest. That will help bring higher humidity to the Tennessee Valley, but it just doesn’t appear to bring us any of that tropical moisture.
