We will see some spotty showers and storms develop through the late morning into the early afternoon. Not everyone will get the rain, but if you do, expect some good solid downpours. We desparately need the rain. High temperatures will be based soley on the amount of cloud coverage we have today. If we get some good sunshine, high will reach the mid to upper 90s. If we stay with more clouds, highs will only reach the low to mid 90s. Either way, it will be humid.

LOOKING AHEAD
The humidity will gradually increase through the workweek. That will bring warmer overnight lows and lead to heat index values pushing over 100 degrees until Thursday. That’s when a cold front is expected to move through. We won’t see a huge drop in our dew points, but we will experience cooler than average tempeatures. Not to mention, much needed rain settles back in. By the end of the week and through the weekend, we could see 1″-3″ with higher amounts in the mountain counties.
