Today will bring us just a little more heat and humidity from what we experienced on the first of July. But, in retrospect, it will be a fantastic, fairly average day. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s with just a little more humidity, but not a ton. We stay rain free through the day today.

Have a great day!

Looking ahead this week, we all know this beautiful weather won’t last long. And it doesn’t. The heat builds this week with a lot more humidity. That means those heat index values will be back to the mid to upper 90s to near 100°.

THE TROPICS
We have our first hurricane of the season, but not just a hurricane, a major hurricane. As of 5am this morning, the National Hurricane Center has Hurricane Beryl as a category 5. That is the strongest hurricane this early in the season, not to mention, the strongest hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Scale. This storm will swing through the Carribean toward the Gulf Of Mexico. Because a ridge of high pressure sits over the Continential United States, it will keep the storm to our south. But it looks to make landfall in the Yukitan Penninsula, just south of Cancun, Mexico.
