TODAY’S FORECAST

Happy Monday!

We should have a few more clouds than yesterday with a few more afternoon showers & storms. Most will likely not receive much in the way of rain, but at least it’s a start. Forecast high temperatures will be back into the low, mid and upper 90s. The heat index will be pushing 100 degrees or hotter for most locations. That will lead to a little more heat stress today than yesterday. Again, that’s the stress the heat and sun can take on your body.

Practice heat safety again today!

LOOKING AHEAD

The humidity will gradually increase through the workweek. That will bring warmer overnight lows and lead to heat index values pushing over 100 degrees until Thursday. That’s when a cold front is expected to move through. We won’t see a huge drop in our dew points, but we will experience cooler than average tempeatures. Not to mention, much needed rain settles back in. By the end of the week and through the weekend, we could see 1″-3″ with higher amounts in the mountain counties.
