TODAY’S FORECAST
Grab the umbrellas!
We start the day off with plenty of sunshine. That will help to boost those afternoon high temperatures back into the 90s. The heat index will once again push close to 100 degrees.
Showers and storms will fire up during the afternoon and evening. Some storms could become strong as we have a lot of instibility in the atmosphere. The storms that develop will move a little quicker, from east to west, from the previous day. Locally heavy rain with some strong gusty winds are all possible.
Remember to track the rain with the eastTNweather Interactive Radar giving you, current, past and future radar of two hours.

LOOKING AHEAD
We quickly transition from a hot, muggy and dry weather pattern to a wet, muggy and cooler weather pattern. But much needed rain is on the way. Over the next three, five and seven days, we will keep adding to the rainfall amounts. By day seven, we could revieve over 2-3 inches.
We have a cold front moving through on Thursday. That will bring cooler temperatures, but not necessarily drier air. Dew points will continue to stay in the upper 60 to low 70s, which means, it will be muggy!
So, even though temperatures will be below average, the heat index will still push the low 90s.
