I sure hope you enjoyed Thursday as the clouds and the much needed rain brought our afternoon high temperatures down to those seasonal averages. Because the heat and humidity quickly build back and that process starts again today.


The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 1 risk for isolated strong to severe storms Saturday and Sunday as a cold front swings into the area.

Take a look at the heat index values through the weekend into the start of July. We will be experience heat indices in the mid to upper 90s to low 100s. But, on Monday, July 1st, a cold front will bring drier air that will shut down those extreme temperatures.
