Another toasty, roasty day today in East Tennessee. High temperatures will climb back to the low to mid 90s. The heat index will push the upper 90s.
Practice heat safety if you have plans to work outside. Otherwise, grab a glass of cold water and relax by the pool or the lake.
The Storm Prediction Center has put parts of East Tennessee under a level 1 risk for isolated strong to severe storms. The timing of these look to be after 4-6pm.

LOOKING AHEAD
Behind tonight’s cold front, some drier air will settle in. That will bring down the dew points and the chance for rain Monday and Tuesday. Then the chance for rain arrives later this week. But, it really doesn’t look like anything signigicant by any stretch.
Make sure to check back in, stay weather alert and have those notifications turned on with the eastTNweather app.
