Today will be a solid average June day. We’re looking at high temps to climb to the low to upper 80s, which is right where we should be for this time of the year, climatologically speaking. We’ll have some high clouds and a few fair weather cumulus developing and moving through. At least the humidity isn’t too bad. But that does change as we head into the weekend.

LOOKING AHEAD
Okay, so starting Thursday, the heat and humidity will start to pick up. High pressure will be anchored in the southeastern United States. That puts us on the westernd side of the surface high. That will allow a bunch of Gulf of Mexico moisture to slide in. You combine that with a ridge of high pressure in the upper atmosphere to produce heat index values in the mid to upper 90s.
Yes, it is the hottest weather so far this summer season.
