Good morning and happy Thursday!

It’s going to be a very warm day today with near record high temperatures expected as high pressure dominates our weather pattern.

Knoxville – 90/2010
Chattanooga – 92/1942
Tri-Cities – 89/2010

We will be tracking numurous disturbances moving our way beginning Friday and lasting through the weekend.  This will bring us rounds of showers and thundestorms. I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans, but definitely watch how this plays out using the Interactive Radar with the eastTNweather app.

There continues to be a risk for strong to severe storm across the Great Plains, Upper Midwest and the Mid-South over the next three days.

The Climate Prediction Center is forecasting above average temperatures as we round out the month of April and start the month of May.
And those rain chances may be a bit more elevated for the first couple weeks of May.
