ANOTHER GUSTY DAY TODAY WITH HIGH FIRE DANGER
It’s a mild start to the day with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. We won’t warm a whole lot today with lunch time temps in the 50s and afternoon highs in the 50s.
The National Weather Service has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for the day ahead. That means we’ll have gusty wind and low relative humidity.
TIMING: Saturday afternoon through the evening
KEY MESSAGE: Outdoor burning is not recommended
IMPACTS: Any fires that develop have the potential to quickly spread

OUR NEXT WEATHERMAKER
Our next threat for severe weather returns next week.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a rare risk on day 5 and 6. That would be next Tuesday and Wednesday.
A strong low pressure will develop on the Lee side of the Rockies and race through the Great Plains. As it lifts into the Upper Midwest, it strengthens and will drag a cold front across the southeastern US. This will likely be a severe weather event for millions. For us in East Tennessee, I’ll be watching closely, but isolated severe storms can be expected late Tuesday into early Wednesday.
Make sure to check back in through the weekend and into the start of next week.
