Here we go again! Another Friday and another chance for rain. But there is a silver lining to the forecast today, and that’s the fact that the rain won’t be with us until after sundown.

We start the morning off with temps in the 40s and 50s under mostly cloudy skies. An area of low pressure moves in from the southwest through the day. That will increase the wind around the area, making for a rather breezy afternoon and evening. As for high temps, we warm to the mid 60s, or even warmer in the southern valley near Chattanooga. As we get back sunset, the rain will slide in from the south. Expect moderate showers tonight while we are sleeping. That’s going to make for a soggy start to our Saturday, but not necessarily a rainy start. Our low moves off to the east through the day on Saturday. This will shut down the rain and help clear the skies late in the day. Sunday will be sunny and pleasant. We stay that way on our Monday. But, another low pressure moves in, dragging a cold front through the area. This will bring us more showers with a few thunderstorms. Through next Wednesday, we could pick up one to two inches of rainfall. And then another system heads our way by next Friday and Saturday. More rain with the chance for colder temperatures with that system.
