THE WARM, SPRING-LIKE WEATHER CONTINUES
It’s going to be another great day today!
We start the morning off warmer than the previous day. And that’s been the trend since our arctic air last week. That’s the trend for afternoon temperatures as well. Highs today reach the low, mid and upper 60s, which is 5-10 degrees warmer than yesterday.
We also have a few morning clouds across the Tennessee/Kentucky border as our upper level wave slides to our east. Then all day sunshine, making for another perfect day to get outside, if you can!

THE BIG PICTURE
How about this warmer weather we are experiencing?! The trend continues on Wednesday with some high clouds drifting our way. A sign of another storm heading our way. That next storm is a cold front that will slide through on Thursday. There really isn’t much rain associated with this front. As of late, it’s looking like less than a quarter of an inch or less. If you live south of I-40, you will likely see less than that. Behind our Thursday cold front, a northwest flow will take shape. That will usher in colder air, but not too cold and we’ll squeeze out a bit of light snow in the mountains of East Tennessee and North Carolina. The best chance for this will be north of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. If you’re a photographer or nature lover, Friday will be a great day to get out and check out some fresh snow on the peaks of the mountains.

ABOVE AND BEYOND THE 7 DAY FORECAST
Looking past the 7 Day Forecast, the Climate Prediction Center has weak of warmer weather heading our way. We are also looking at above average precipitation. These maps never tell you how far above average or how much rainfall we’ll see. It just gives us an idea where we are trending… up or down.
