TODAY’S FORECAST
Happy Monday!
We start the day with a wintry mix around East Tennessee. The TN/KY border and Upper East Tennessee saw the majority of it, but there aren’t any major issues expected thanks to the road temperatures above freezing for most locations. Plus, air temperatures have been above freezing as well. This disturbance will roll through today bringing us sunshine before the sun sets, making for an amazing sunset, hopefully. High temperatures climb to near seaonal averages, mid to upper 40s.

THE REST OF THE STORY
High pressure will build back in on Wednesday ahead of our next storm system that rolls our way on Friday. As it nears on Thursday, we’ll see increasing high clouds, becoming overcast. I don’t think we’ll see much rainfall on Thursday, as I have a 20% chance for rain as the warm front moves through. The bulk of the rainfall will move through early Friday morning and last through about noon or so, as of now. We could pick up nearly 1″ of rainfall just on Friday. High temperatures will stay above average, which will be a breath of fresh air after this very long January and cold arctic air.
